Introduction
Over the years, the world has experienced several crises which caused the eviction of thousands of individuals from their home countries. Anthropology is particularly useful in studying the displacement patterns of the refugees and internally displaced individuals as a result of forced migration. As described by Holmes (2016), a refugee is any individual forced to migrate from his/her country of origin because of persecution, violence or war. Greussing (2017) explains that refugees frequently experience fears of persecution and discrimination in their foreign countries. Despite these rough conditions, the refugees do not have the option of returning to their homeland because of the reasons that caused their fleeing.
